Welcome to the website of Lawrence J. Magill and Melissa M. Stochl. Our office is conveniently located to serve clients in Sarasota and Bradenton. It is located on the corner of Fruitville Road and Washington Boulevard (U.S. Hwy 301) in the Chase Bank building. Combined, we have over 50 years of accounting, business and tax experience. Our focus is on providing personal service with consistent quality.
Clients' expect their CPA to be thoroughly familiar with their tax returns, finances and business and that expectation is an important principle in how we manage our practice. In a larger firm setting, the CPA owner usually meets and greets the clients but the real work is performed by lower level staff. After a few years of this approach, the large firm CPA loses touch with the needs of the client.
That does not happen in our firm. Although we use part-time professional staff for bookkeeping and tax data entry particularly during the busy tax season, we either personally prepare or review all client tax returns.

Individuals - Your individual/personal income tax return is prepared on Form 1040 along with all of the required schedules, forms and statements and e-filed directly with IRS after your review and authorization.
The goal is for you to pay the least and correct amount of tax required by law.
We help you organize your documents and records if necessary.
Every January, continuing clients receive a tax organizer which assists in this process.
All of your documents and records are returned to you along with a signed copy of your income tax return.
